How can I lose 70 lbs by late Summer 2009? Im getting married 9-12-09 an i need to desparately need to lose weight ( doctors advice). I currently weight 205 and 5'4 i know im huge, i had a baby 2 years ago and I know thats no excuse but I love food and I eat even if Im not hungry. Please help… I need to lose 70 lbs before sept 2009
You need to STOP eating FAST FOODS and start eating HEALTHY!!!!
Best thing to do is start by recording what you currently eat… see how much you actually have to cut back. Then calculate your Basal Metabolic rate :http://health.discovery.com/tools/calculators/basal/basal.html This is the number of calories your current body needs daily to function.
Then subtract 500 calories… this will now give you the number of calories you can eat per day and LOOSE a pound a week… if you are very large, you can subtract 1000 calories per day, and loose 2 pounds per week!
What you eat is as important as the calories that these foods contain… you can't eat the same way you do currently and expect to lose weight. You need to add a variety of WHOLE, BALANCED, CLEAN foods to your diet; such as whole grains (oatmeal, flax, nuts), non-fat dairy (milk, cheese, eggs), lean meats (chicken, turkey, fish), lost of green leafy vegetables, fruits) and avoid anything pre-packaged or over-processed!
If you want an actual diet to follow, I suggest you go see a nutritionist.
And get active… start going for walks, and just plain MOVE MORE! Remember, the more calories you burn in a day the more you can EAT and still lose weight!!! References :
Just changing your diet… like switching to a nutrisystem or something you can lose 12-15 lbs every 3 months. That;s almost 60 pounds for the year… add in excercise and it shouldn;t be an impossible endeavor. References :
