Years ago I read in a magazine that tuna fish is good because it's low-fat and high-protein and something else I can't remember.

All you need is:
- carbs for energy (breads, pastas, etc.)
- protein for muscle building (red meats - chicken, beef, etc.)
- water for hydration
Stay away from the desserts and foods that are high in fat.

lean proteins like fish and chicken breast. healthy carbs..not too starchy or sugary ( watch those white breads!) portion control-frequent ,small meals instead of "3 square meals a day" mentality is helpful to jumpstart your metabolism and keep your body constantly exchanging the energy and nutrients provided.
