Can a hardgainer workout focus on a specific area?
Because in my case, although I need to gain weight everywhere, my chest and shoulders are especially lacking. I know that hardgainer workouts focus on balanced, combination lifts. But is there any way I can place special emphasis on these areas?

The best overall workout will be one that focuses on the whole body. You don't want to train only certain areas and have some underdeveloped areas.

That being said, to place special emphasis on a certain area you can do the exercises for that area first in your workout when you have the most energy.

You could also use two exercises for the special focus bodypart and one exercise on all other areas of the body.

Try to focus on one area at a time so you can give it all of your energy.
