Taking our new found ‘friendship’ to the next level? From my previous question: 'Can mums be bothered (to be welcoming).
I'm a mum, & after having built a good rapport with some mums in the school playground, I feel it would be good to take our 'friendship' to the next level (I maybe jumping the gun to call it that!) It's probably that I'm afraid of being rejected (does everyone feel like this or am I being silly?) I thinking of something simple, maybe a cup of tea in the local coffee shop or round at my place (which is TINY). I can't invite myself round to their place(!), besides which they might have other commitments. Somehow, I find it alot easier to make arrangements with other mums relating to activities that involve our kids. It's because I always put the kids 1st & I always think of their friendship & social needs before my own. Much as I love my kids & would do anything for them, it would be nice to have a one to one conversation with another mum that doesn't involve kids tugging at you or talking about kids!
