that would be 3500 calories per pound of bodyfat, so about 14 times on ur elliptical will burn one pound of bodyfat
ur body will burn it all day long tho as long as ur calorie expenditure is more than ur calorie intake

I don't know if this helps at all, but:
There are 3500 calories in a pound. In order to maintain your ideal weight you have to eat your weightX15. So if your ideal weight is 150, you would have to eat 150X15=2250 calories a day to MAINTAIN that weight. That's assuming you're doing a normal amount of exercise. (Like walking for 30 minutes.) http://www.sparkspeople.com
You should try googling your question. Good luck! :)

3500 calories per pound of fat loss - so do that workout a little over 14 times and you'll lose a pound. Honestly, though, those machines OVER estimate your calorie burn most of the time, so knock off 10%. Also, try cutting 350-500 calories per day.
