Is it possible to learn a language from a book or online course? I've been wondering this for a while. I'd love to learn Welsh only there isn't really an abundance of teachers around. If you can recommend a good Welsh online or book course that can be taken to a high level, please say so in your answer. Thank you ^.^
you could try a cd and listen on you ipod in te car etc. i did that with french and it worked im not sure if you can get them in welsh but maybe try ebay or something like that ??

it does, but i dont recommend it because it takes long and frustrating, though it can work if you have time, if you know a friend(s) try learning it from then. If you know other languages it may cause change to your learning. Good Luck! References :
Yes. Most polyglots learn their languages through self-study. Try finding a textbook with listening CDs. I have the "Teach Yourself Welsh" pack on my shelf and it seems like it would be a pretty solid beginner's course. References :
I guess you could if you were truly dedicated to learning and practising every day so that you can absorb all the vocabulary and make the grammar rules stick in your head.
However, the best way would be if you could actually interact with a Welsh speaker. This way you can try out variations of the stuff you learn and they will be able to point out any mistakes you make. Sometimes books may not point out the little intricacies which native speakers would find innate. References :
I suggest you learn a little Chinese, because we are surrounded by Chinese goods. I suggest you visit Hello! Mandarin' s Live Class, http://www.hellomandarin.com/, you will be able to learn Chinese face to face with Beijing teachers. You still can join online live class directly from Beijing and practice with volunteers. Online Course is much cheaper than classroom training if your budget is limited.
I hope this information is helpful to you. References :

Just from a book, you would not know if you were learning the correct pronunciation.
