Hang Cleans vs. Power Cleans for football.?
hey guys, i'm a linebacker that's trying to prepare for my senior football season next year. I'm working out at school with my team's strength coach, and his program doesn't involve barbell cleans, but he uses kettlebell cleans and snatches instead. I decided a couple weeks ago to start doing barbell cleans and I've been doing power cleans twice a week, mondays and thursdays, monday is a heavy day and thursday is light. I've never really done hang cleans and I've been thinking about trying to put them in the workout but i'm not sure if doing hang cleans is different or better than regular power cleans for football specific power. Are hang cleans better for football training, and if i put it in should I do heavy power cleans and hang cleans in the same week or should i do heavy power cleans one week and light hang cleans the same week and then switch? Anything else you guys know about cleans and football training would be great too.
