Culinary training they have schools that specialize in this the only other way I know of is to have a chef teach you personally

There are culinary schools out there. However one alternative is to become an apprentice to an already established chef. A friend of mine took that route and has become very successful over the years. You could also start from the bottom to the top as a preparer. Stay away from chain restaurants that serve preprepared foods like Fridays, etc. That won’t teach you very much if you already know how to operate an oven or a microwave.

Culinary school, like the Culinary Institute of America or Johnson and Wales.
They teach you not only cooking, but about the foods, menu planning, trends, costing products, business, everything. It’s very rigorous and stressful, but that’s the only way you get a "chef" designation.
Despite my screen name, I was just a head cook at my own place. Never earned the degree.
