How many calories is "safe" to cut from your daily allowance without it being effective?
My current daily calorie allowance for my weight, age, and gender is 2848.07. On average, I have cut that back to 1000 - 1400 a day. This would equal a 2 lb a week loss with out much effort. However, my head hurts a lot and I feel a lot sleepier than usual. Am I crashing? Should I bring in a few more calories and just boost up my exercise regime? I haven’t actually started a exercise regime yet because I wanted to get the calories right first, but I think I am flunking out on this one… What should I do??

You’ve cut your calorie intake in half -that’s what’s giving you headaches. You need to up the calories, say 1800-2000. Limit the nbr of sugar grams to 30 or less, better yet, use equal or sweet & low. Keep your fat grams to 30 or less, and exercise.
