Is my body finally adjusting to my loss of weight? Over a period of a year and 1/2, I have gradually lost 65 pounds and did it through hard work and training. When I was to my goal I had the problem of excess skin. Since then I have done my part to keep the weight off and have built a bit of noticeable muscle over time but the extra skin is still there.
So I bought new clothes about 3 months a go and all of a sudden they no longer fit as all my clothes are getting loose again. So I weighed myself and it still the same. I was told that skin never really goes away, but it must now because the new clothes are getting lose again. Is my body finally starting to adjust to this new weight? Or is more of my push up and sit ups that are causing this? And if that were true, why am I not gaining weight for adding on the muscle that is obvious when I look in the mirror?
Wow, that’s a lot of questions. Thanks for the help.
It really depends on how much skin your talking about - not knowing your physical characteristics. Let’s say if you pinched a 6 inch section of skin - that will not "Shrink" away. It has to be surgically removed. Whereas an inch should eventually shrink. References :
