After deciding to revamp our diet plan and workout plan my nephew and I decided to take some time off and ignore our high calorie diet that allowed us those impressive weight gains from week 1 and allowed us to gain weight fast.
Unfortunately as a result, we practically lost all our gains and had to start back at our starting weights.

Hey all
I have always been real skinny my whole life….like only weighing around 53kg.
I bought a bench press which i worked out on for around a year and then joined the gym…around 1/2 through my photo’s. I have been doing my HSC at school so havn’t had all the time in the world to eat heaps and workout alot. So sometimes i would go a few weeks without lifting or eating heaps.
The reason I have posted this video is for both positive feedback and helpful tips. I am not ‘big’ and wouldn’t compare myself to alot of people/weight lifters. Just showing small changes over the year so far I have always had an ectomorph body type and have been really light my whole life so tips on nutrition especially would be awesome.
In the beginning I have not tensed at all and later on I have appart from that everything else should be arite.
These photo’s are here to be seen and I would love to have some tips and pointers on mass gaining. Anything from excercises to nutrition to proteins.
So please don’t criticise in term of pointing out that i’m not massive. I have been slack and not worked my legs nearly as much as my upper body so I gota get into that soon thanks.
I have been using a mass gainer but not the full ammount cause i don’t have a job…and therefore not enough money lol but i’ve been trying to eat alot recently and have a generally healthy lifestyle.
So any questions just ask!
This is only 1 and abit years into weight training and I love doing it. So this is only the beginning and I have a long way to go!

Are you ready for a FUNNY story plus some hardgainer workout tips? Well me and my nephew just finished our 1st day of training, and let me tell you it was TOUGH. But we did it! And as a result we learned some things about what helped us during our workout and what hurted us with our workout and we’re going to share that with you today.
First off, when you’re working out especially when you’re trying to build muscle fast always try to do the following:
- Drink plenty of H20 day in and day out. (As a hardgainer trying to gain weight, you’re going to be consuming alot more food and nutrients daily, drinking plenty of water ensures that your body is absorbing all this good stuff in a fast and effective manner, if you don’t don’t be suprised if and when you start to get cramps in your stomach and throughout your body “NOT FUN” trust me.
- Always know how many reps and sets you’re going to do before you start each workout. (this will get you in and OUT of the gym as soon as possible)
- ALWAYS bring a pen and pad to the gym so you can keep track of where you’re improving and where you’re lacking (VERY IMPORTANT).
- Start ASAP, don’t wait. Plan ahead as much as possible then GO FOR IT. You’ll workout all the minor details of your workouts and nutrition as you go.
- And when someone asks you if you could do a hundred pounds “make sure you could do a hundred pounds” LOL (FUNNY STORY)
